Mariposa welcomes skaters from all over the world at all levels. To date we have been host to skaters from over 22 countries. International skaters have unique requirements and we will do our best to accommodate those needs. Please do not hesitate to contact our office or our coaches to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.

Proper Skating Attire must be worn at all times, on ice and off the ice. Any breach of conduct or failure to comply with school rules will be severely dealt with.

At Mariposa we will make arrangements for International students to lodge with host families during their stay. There are opportunities for families coming with skaters to rent apartments and houses during your stay. For those types of arrangements please contact us directly.


Mariposa School of Skating along with Innisdale Secondary School, offer a Co-operative Education program for high performance figure skaters. The purpose of this program is to offer a secondary school program designed to meet the academic needs of school-aged athletes. Over the years, Mariposa has raised over a million dollars for local charities. Currently, we are preparing for our 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Innisbrook Golf Club. Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County to support local programs and services for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
